The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the barbecue platter—a feast for the senses. The ribs were tender, with a perfectly smoky flavor that balanced beautifully with their house-made sauce, a sweet and tangy delight. The brisket? Melt-in-your-mouth perfection, with just the right amount of seasoning to enhance its rich flavor without overpowering it. Each bite transported me to Texas, where barbecue isn't just food; it's a way of life.
In addition to the food, the service at Shaffer Farms Texas Bar-B-Q was attentive and friendly, making for an inviting atmosphere that complements the delectable dishes. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just enjoying a casual meal, the warmth of the staff makes you feel at home.

Delicious Texas bbq! Best brisket ever. Ranch potatoes are amazing too. And don't forget to buy bacon from the meat shop as you leave.

Awesome atmosphere a d friendly, the food was fantastic and at a good price. Was Awesome that there wasn't a wait time, best brisket.

Brisket is very very good! The ribs and the sides (macaroni and cheese and baked beans) were ok.

We were in the area visiting the Amish community about 5 minutes south whenever I saw this place pop up on Yelp. I was craving some bbq so I was excited to swing through and try this on my way home and good god I am glad I did. The prices for the plates is outstanding. I've paid 20+ for bad brisket and two sides back home. 18.99 gets you a 3 meat option with 2 generous sides and the Cajun cornbread was amazing. I've already called and recommended this place to all the family i could think of on my hour commute back home. Next time I can simply bypass the Amish community because this place alone is worth the drive. If this is Texas bbq then I can understand the obsessions.

We were just driving around and boom! We found a hidden gem in Summertown! The brisket was so delicious and melted in your mouth. We bought a lot of meat from the butcher. The Pecan bourbon brittle is a good choice for a roadtrip snack.

Me and two friends rode our motorcycles today from Nashville and stopped for lunch at Shaffer Farms for some of their Texas barbecue. I'm from Houston, so I was skeptical, but their marbled brisket and their sausage were both exceptional. The portions were very fair and the sides were delicious. I cannot recommend this place with any more confidence. Don't miss it.

This place was a win for me from the gate sign outside coming from a longtime Beefmaster family from deep South Texas myself. But this is the best Texas brisket I've had outside of Texas (might even beat mine)! Beats places in Texas as well. And relics from Nuevo Laredo? Well, heck! That's just hard to beat. The sweet tea and lime- lemonade quench your thirst! You definitely want to eat in to try both sauces and enjoy the BBQ piping hot! (Kudos- for dry rub pork ribs- reminds me of cook offs in Beaumont. Plus- Some of the friendliest staff around! After lunch we went over and bought some ribeyes and flank steak- so far we've tried the ribeyes on the grill- amazing! Y'all seriously need to stop- sliced, chopped whatever! It's all good! I'm just partial to sliced. A bit of Texas in TN!

This little Bbq joint is amazing. It reminds me of Black's BBQ back in Lockhart, TX. Similar ordering process - you wait your turn, walk your the counter where you tell them what you want, they cut it fresh, you pick your sides, you grab your drinks, pay, then you hit the tables and enjoy some of the best "Q" you'll find anywhere around. They also have a meat shop and it's worth stopping in and taking something home after you loosen your belt and make your way out. Everyone is super friendly and the inside reminds me of an old roadside barbeque shack. I'm coming back through in a couple of weeks and we will all be stopping in. I'm not going to recommend what to order, it really is all good. Even the sides. When you order your meal the very friendly lady at the counter will ask you if you'd like onion, pickle, or a pepper (that's a Jalapeño by the way). Say yes to all three and enjoy some Texas Que in Tennessee.

This is the best, authentic Texas barbecue restaurant I've ever tried. Can be hard to miss without your GPS, but it's fantastic. Huge selection of fresh meat and poultry, but the draw is the BBQ. This stuff is fresh and delicious. Huge servings, great prices, and friendly girls working their tails off behind the counter. The chopped brisket sandwich is huge and cooked to savory perfection. Took some smoked wings to warm up at home, can't wait to try it. Ignore any negative reviews - the people that wrote them either don't know value or have no clue about genuine Texas BBQ. Can't wait to go back!
